Curious about Mass Ave's newest restaurant, Modita?Mass Ave's Bottleworks District is the hottest area in town, thanks to its art deco decor, posh hotel, and creative food hall. But The Bottleworks Hotel, also boasts a couple of its own restaurants, including a coffee shop and Modita, from The Cunningham Group. It was the first indoor reservation we made, 2 weeks to the day after receiving our second vaccine! And was it ever worth the wait. We've been back several times since, and have certainly added Modita to our usual Mass Ave rotation. Modita: The BasicsWhere is Modita?Modita is located in The Bottleworks Hotel on Mass Ave in downtown Indianapolis. You can enter through the hotel lobby, or on the West side of the hotel in an entrance specific to the restaurant. 850 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 110 Modita ReservationsModita takes reservations. Even though it's been open for a little while now, Modita is still extremely popular and I would recommend making reservations. Book through Open Table or call (317-316-0470) for Modita reservations. Does Modita have outdoor dining? Modita Cocktail SelectionModita's drink menu features Japanese-inspired cocktails. Japanese whiskey abounds. I highly recommend the Highball (pictured here). There's plenty of sake, if you're feeling adventurous! Dinner at ModitaPlan to kick off your meal at Modita with a starter or dim sum. The miso salad keeps us coming back time after time. We talked about it as "that salad" and we can't get enough. The soup dumplings are incredible. Where's the soup? It's inside - cut that dumpling with the side of your fork with caution. The bao buns are also certainly worth trying. For a lack of a more sophisticated description, they're like delicious tacos with puffy buns. Main course options are divided into sushi, wok, & Robata grill. Plates generally are meant to be enjoyed by a single person (not tapas style), and are plenty big. Thanks for stopping by!I hope you enjoy your trip to Modita! Don't forget to explore everything else that downtown Indy has to offer!
