Interested in the new development on Mass Ave, The Bottleworks District?Especially in the midst of everything that's going on in the world right now, it's exciting to have not just new stores and restaurants, but an entire new "district" in Downtown Indy! The northern end of Mass Ave is now proudly home to The Bottleworks District. Boasting Indy's newest hotel and food hall, not to mention shops, The Bottleworks District is an impressive architectural feat. Renovating the former Coca-Cola bottling plant, without losing its 1930's ambiance was no small task. So let's take a quick tour through what's open in The Bottleworks District, and I'll update this as I walk over and visit more! The Bottleworks HotelFor the classiest stay in Indianapolis, check out The Bottleworks Hotel, nestled into the northern end of Mass Ave. Juxtaposing restored 1930's touches against the chicest modern decor, The Bottle Works Hotel is a refreshingly historic take on modern luxury. We're still awaiting the high-end Asian-inspired Cunningham Group restaurant, but I'll keep you posted when it's open! Learn more about where to stay in Indianapolis. The GarageOpening in early January 2021, The Garage at The Bottleworks is Indy's newest food hall. I had the pleasure of visiting during The Garage's first day open, and many times since. Be sure to stop by The Harbour, a "chippie" from the former owner of MacNiven's Scottish pub on Mass Ave. Restaurants and Shops in The GarageIndianapolis Monthly has a great summary of current and expected dining options at The Garage. Currently there's a bar (Hard Truth Distilling Co.), a Mexican restaurant, La Chinita Poblana, a barber shop, and a gift shop! Many spots are still under construction, so I'll keep updating as more open up! Modita at The Bottleworks HotelThe food at the Asian fusion inspired restaurant from the Cunningham Group is so good, the ambiance so charming, that it deserves its own blog post! Learn all about Modita! The Living Room Theater at The BottleworksDid you know The Bottleworks even has a movie theater? The Living Room Theater is Indy's newest dine (and drink)-in theater. Buy your tickets, and climb the stairs past the two-story tall painting of King Kong (if that doesn't get you in the classic cinema mood, I don't know what will). There's a full bar for both before and during your showing, and food will be brought to you at your seat! As opposed to other dine-in theaters I've visited, The Living Room is nicer and makes more of an effort to prevent distracting you from actually seeing the show, which I always appreciate. Parking at The Bottleworks DistrictMetered street parking is available along Mass Ave, for those visiting The Bottleworks (or anywhere on Mass Ave). If you can't find a spot right near The Bottleworks, going a bit farther south and off "the Ave," should open up tons of walkable parking spots. As the area gets more popular, there is a parking garage at The Bottleworks District, Bottleworks District Garage. Learn more about the best restaurants on Mass Ave Thanks for stopping by!
