Looking for romantic couples' activities in Sedona?
Sedona, Arizona is an absolutely *magical* town. Nestled in the stunning red-rock sandstone formations that are like something out of this world, it's no wonder you're after some romantic things to do! With more than one high-end hotel to choose from, not to mention lovely shopping, Sedona is more than just mystical crystals (though, don't worry, you'll find more than a few of those as well). So let's discuss some romantic things to do on a trip to Sedona!
Stay at L'Auberge de Sedona
Check out rates at L'Auberge de Sedona
Whether you opt for your own private cottage, or stay in the stunning Lodge, expect first-class service, try the restaurants, and be sure to bring a good book to devour while relaxing in one of the many scenic seating areas. Send me a message on social media and I'll tell you about the best Adirondack chairs in the whole resort (can't have everyone knowing!!)
Tlaquepaque - Arts & Shopping Village
Undoubtedly my favorite corner of Sedona, Tlaquepaque is a town unto itself. High-end shops, quaint dining, and the most charming architecture make Tlaquepaque the ideal spot to spend an afternoon in Sedona. And don't forget to grab beers and a delicious chicken salad sandwich at Oak Creek Brewery & Grill (we loved it so much, we ate there twice in 3 days).
Watch the sunset over the rocks at dinner
There's nothing more romantic than watching the sunset while enjoying a few adult beverages in Sedona. Excellent wine and margaritas are a must during your stay in the Southwest. A few romantic dinner destinations in Sedona:
Watch the sunrise with morning stroll
While the temperatures can reach *alarming* levels during the day, morning is the perfect time to stroll Sedona, before the heat and the day tourists increase (on a Saturday, you'll see a line of cars snaking its way through downtown).
Discover Oak Creek
There's *a lot* of hiking to be had in Sedona. If sun is a concern, consider exploring Oak Creek.
See Sedona from the sky!
Sedona's red rocks are, I'm told, best seen from a helicopter, high above the rugged landscape. If you're followed the blog for a while, you know this is *not* something we did during our time in Sedona, but if you're braver than me, consider a helicopter tour!
Extra Credit: Take a day trip to the Grand Canyon
I don't know about you, but I never actually visited the Grand Canyon as a kid on that quintessential American family road trip! A day trip to the Grand Canyon from Sedona is easy enough, if you want to check out this wonder of the natural world, while you're in the region! It's about a 2 hour drive from Sedona to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, or you can hop aboard the Grand Canyon Railway from Williams (which I'd incidentally recommend, as the drive, though scenic, is a bit difficult).
