Planning a romantic weekend trip in Indiana? With Valentine's Day right around the corner, many of us are looking for the perfect place for a romantic getaway in Indiana, to spend quality time with your sweetheart. That said, in the dead of winter, and with no days off work, venturing too far away might not be in the cards for your romantic getaway. Well, the good news is, the Hoosier state has plenty of romantic hotels to offer! I've been fortunate enough to live in Indiana for the vast majority of my life, including spending my three years of law school in Bloomington, and moving back home to Indianapolis right after graduation. Since then, we've spent plenty of time exploring all the Hoosier state has to offer for couples. From chic city getaways in the heart of Indianapolis, to rustic Southern Indiana retreats, I've accounted for every type of taste when compiling my list. And once you find the perfect spot for your getaway, why not take it up a notch and spring for the entire 'romance package' at your selected hotel? Bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, the works! Unlike big cities hotels, adding this extra here in Indiana won't break the bank. Alright, let's walk through my 6 romantic, couples getaway destinations in Indiana! 6+ Romantic, Couples Getaway Destinations in IndianaChic, Cutting-Edge Luxury: Bottleworks Hotel, Mass Ave, Indianapolis The first hotel on my list is my go-to for a romantic weekend, The Bottleworks Hotel in the heart of downtown Indianapolis in the Bottleworks District on Mass Ave. A boutique hotel with modern amenities, the Bottleworks Hotel is part of a development built into a former massive Coca Cola bottling plant, now home to a movie theater, food hall, spa, bowling alley, and luxury restaurant, in addition to the hotel. It's also one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and that's saying something. Featuring comfortable rooms with modern brass fittings and flat-screen tv, each floor has its own still and sparkling water dispenser. You won't want for a thing during your stay. Need a drink? Stop by the lobby bar, Sundry and Vice. Looking for a romantic date night? Two of Indy's most romantic and highly-rated restaurants are right on your doorstep, The Fountain Room and Modita. The Bottleworks is the perfect place, in my book, for a romantic Indianapolis getaway. A romantic escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Looking for more romantic things to do in Indy? Head up to Newfields/Indianapolis Museum of Art and visit the original LOVE statue by Robert Indiana. Extra credit: Looking for a bed and breakfast near Mass Ave? Check out the Nestle Inn, Mass Ave.'s bed and breakfast, snuggled into one of downtown Indy's historic homes. Offering much more affordable prices than other downtown Indy hotels, the Nestle Inn may be the spot for you. It's "not your grandma's b&b" in the heart of it all and very close the the Murat, if you want to take in a show. Need a date night idea? They offer cooking classes! Looking to take a road trip?
