Considering a Rowena Swing Dress?

I recently received the newly updated Rowena Swing Dress from Wool&. So popular it sold out, it's now returned, in a wider range of colors! While I selected black (it's that or Lilly for me sometimes - I know, I know), you should check out the full range!
As many of you know, this isn't my first Wool& experience! So I won't repeat too much here!
For more on packaging, shipping, and ordering from Wool&, check out my post on the Wool& Clara Shirt Dress.

Rowena Swing Dress: Fit

First, let's talk about the fit of the Rowena Swing Dress. It's a "swing," aka not too fitted in the bottom, which is nice - and certainly comfortable. Especially with being trapped in the house, when my weigh fluctuates, I carry it in that region, so it's nice to have a little more forgiving dress!
It has pockets!

Rowena Swing Dress: Fabric

The wool used to make the Rowena Swing Dress is significantly different from the wool of my Clara Shirt Dress. Honestly, it's so soft and thing that I'd *never* have guessed it was wool. And, of course, it's also machine-washable (while always a plus, is an extra plus when we're unexpectedly locked in our houses!)

Rowena Swing Dress: Sizing

I ordered a Small in the Rowena, which was the right fit. Definitely plenty of room, but for this style, I like a bit of space.

If you're between sizes, go *down.*

For those much taller than me (I'm only 5'3" - still waiting on that growth spurt) Rowena is available with extra length, the "Rowena Swing Dress Long."

Styling Ideas:
How to Wear the Rowena Swing Dress

Part of what I love about the Rowena Swing Dress is how versatile is it. It's a bit like a blank canvas (but in a good way).

For Spring, I'm pairing it with loafers and a chunky necklace. In Fall and Winter, when we get there, it'll be leggings, booties, & my one of my ever-present scarves.

Wool& Mara Sweatshirt Dress

I recently received the Wool& Mara Sweatshirt Dress! It's the perfect fit for my updated 2021 "athleisure" vibe, with its deep pockets and casual, slightly stiff collar. Check it out if you're looking for a transitional late spring wool dress!

Thanks for stopping by!

Curious - you mentioned if you’re between sizes to go down. I’m between sizes, but need stretchy sleeves. How are the sleeves on the upper arm? If I need a larger sleeve size, should I go up?

Thank you for the review!

Hi Christine - Thanks for stopping by! If you need a larger sleeve size, I would go up. haha I'm the opposite - I need the extra hip space, but the arms on this one fit perfectly, but not loosely. Hope that helps! x
