Need a Christmas gift for an Anglophile?
We Anglophiles are both easy and hard to buy Christmas gifts for. You know what we want (English stuff) and where to get it (England). But, there are often significant shipping frees to cross the pond and, if you (somehow?) aren't an Anglophile, you may now even know what to actually buy, where to find the things you do want to buy, or how long they'll all take to get over here to the colonies!
Never fear - I've collected a list of the greatest Christmas gifts for the Anglophile in your life, most of which are available from U.S. sellers, cutting out the huge shipping fees. A pro tip about shipping fees: if you do have your heart set on getting something from the U.K., see if they offer free shipping over a certain amount - you can probably find something to buy for other people on your list from the same shop and not have to worry about shipping! Christmas gifts for Anglophiles: Royal Family Merch
Anglophiles certainly do love a good piece of British Royal Family merchandise! In years of significant royal events, Fortnum and Mason makes the most phenomenal commemorative plates and mugs.
In other Royal Family dining supplies, my "favourite" hotel in the world, The Goring, has also premiered a gorgeous commemorative mug, which is a great souvenirs for fans of the hotel where The Duchess of Cambridge spent her last night as Kate Middleton! While we're on the Fortnum & Mason note, the classic English department store has a lovely cookbook, penned by none other than The Duchess of Cornwall's daughter, Tom Parker Bowles. Featuring everything from lovely cocktails to cozy soups and stews, the Anglophile chef in your life will love these recipes!

Christmas gifts for Anglophiles:
The right streaming service
The joy of streaming services is that they are both increasing in quantity and narrowing in focus, so it's easier than ever to stream the best British shows, even over here across the pond, without having to buy those giant box sets of DVDs from PBS, which so charmed my childhood and began my love of all things English!
Amazon offers a bundle of "Prime Video Channels" that includes Acorn TV (where Midsomer Murders moved) and Starz (which has Outlander's new seasons). For more great British Detective Show ideas, check out the full post!

Christmas gifts for Anglophiles: Pub glassware
Thanks for stopping by!
Love it? Pin it!
This is such a fun list! I love love love buying boozy glassware. Those beer steins are calling to me, and now I might have to ask my mom for some for Xmas. My cabinets are so dang full. I also love English tea and picked up a ton when I was in London years ago. Sadly, an ex-boyfriend got it when we broke up. I doubt he appreciated it as much as me. WHAAAAA!!!! HP gifts are ALL the rage.
Aww me too!! I am obsessed with glassware - and mugs- so we had to start slowly moving some of my mugs into another cabinet (but I still rotate them through quite often)! And it sounds like someone needs to order more tea!! xx
Oh man, I'm in the UK and I want those Harry Potter plates!!! I wonder if I can find them here (or something similar lol).
